Canned Food Drive for Northwest Harvest

Students are gathering canned and non perishable food items for Northwest Harvest and the Kids for Cans program this holiday season.  Last year EVI raised the most food out of many area schools and we have the same goal for this year.  Please support our community with your donation of canned food items four our area citizens.

Parent Teacher Conferences/Book Fair Success

The EVI staff would like to thank all parents and families for attending our fall conferences.   The opportunity to share valuable information with our families regarding student accomplishments, goals, and areas of improvement is highly appreciated and helps to continue the success of EVI Jaguars.   Our PTA is also commended on a very successful Book Fair.  They report a profit of approximately $7000 which will add to the budget for our new playground equipment.  Thanks for your support of our conferences and the Book Fair!

Recognition Assembly set to Honor our Achievers

A December 5th assembly at 9:15 is set to honor our Academic All Stars and other student achievements this fall at EVI.  On the agenda is AR reading awards, the 6th grade choir performance, Academic All Stars, and staff skit.  It should be an enjoyable assembly and all are invited to join our students and staff.

Community Involvement:

EVI would like to thank Applebees and Domino’s Pizza for their recent donations of certificates for our staff and students!  Thanks for your support!

Happy Holidays!

Jaguar Pride Recognition

We commend all of our students on their responsible and respectful behavior this school year and congratulate everyone on their positive choices and interaction with others.  At the end of every trimester our PTA awards four students from every grade level with a $5 Mercy movie certificate if they did not receive an office referral for behavior.  Our ASB randomly selected the students and the following received a certificate for first trimester; Courtney Farias, Henry Lopez, Casey Oldham, Hank Jones, Sequoia Moore, Dalton Ham, Brandon Cox, Christian Villegas, Oscar Martinez, Kevin Hobbs, Hunter Grubenhoff, and Michaela Wehunt.  Keep up the great work and enjoy your movie!

Parents/Visitors/Volunteers

For the safety of our students, we require all visitors to our building to sign in and wear a guest badge during their visit.  Thank you to all of our parents, volunteers, and visitors for your help in continuing to create and maintain a safe environment for our students.

5th grade Community Service Project

Our 5th grade students demonstrated compassion and giving this fall as they worked on their annual community service project.  In preparation the students listened to presentations by different non profit charities and then selected their organization to support.  The students raised money by selling cookies and punch at Open House and donated $447.00 to Children’s Wishes and Dreams.
